Series 43 – VESPA Pads
Description
The 43 Series V.E.S.P.A. Pad has been designed for demand in the concrete polishing market. A Value Engineered Simplified Polishing Application is an economical alternative to traditional concrete polishing when smaller budgets need to be met but a densified/hardened/refined surface is needed for the end result. Universal Polishing Systems has infused our proprietary 07 Series GTO Hybrid semi-metal bond matrix into our diamond encrusted 40 Series Hurricane Pad. The V.E.S.P.A Pad is designed to use on burnishing/buffing equipment as well as automatic scrubbers. A faster cut, faster hone and faster polish is the result. The V.E.S.P.A Pad is ideal on new, flat concrete. It is designed to open, hone and polish/refine; it is in no way intended to flatten a concrete surface. For older, uneven surfaces, the concrete should be processed with traditional grinding equipment and tooling in preparation for the V.E.S.P.A Pad to complete the polishing process.
Uses
The 43 Series V.E.S.P.A. Pads may be used wet or dry and will open the surface of flat concrete and hone the surface to properly accept a densifier/hardener and continue to hone and polish to 1500 grit ready for guard/sealer. The more aggressive grits (30, 50 and 100) are ideal for quick mechanical preparation for coatings and overlays. Quickly refurbish/re-polish existing, well-worn, improperly maintained densified/hardened concrete. There are many uses within a proper maintenance schedule and ideal on auto-scrubbers, swing machines and burnishers.
Application
The V.E.S.P.A. Pads have many uses and applications. The entire pad is coated with a diamond powder of the same grit as the infused 07 Series GTO Hybrid semi-metal bond. The pad can be flipped over and used to as a cleaning or burnishing pad. Please read cautions.

Series 40 – Hurricane Pads
Description
The 40 Series Hurricane Pads are designed for durability and longevity for a wide variety of applications. They have diamond powder blown throughout the entire pad creating a stronger, wear and tear resistant pad at an economical price. The diamond powders provided extended life due to the ability to use either side creating a stronger, more durable tool for most flooring situations.
Uses
The 40 Series Hurricane Pads are primarily used a burnishing pad for high speed burnishing machines to create the heat needed in the application of most guards or sealers specified in concrete polishing. The versatility and diamond coating in the pad also make it the ideal tool for cleaning and/or maintaining floors of most types including VCT, natural stone, polished concrete, honed and densified concrete, terrazzo (cementitious and epoxy) as well as any sealed surface.
When used in a regular maintenance program the Hurricane Pad is extraordinary. The pads may be used wet or dry and are available in virtually any diameter to meet most maintenance machines including low speed swing machines, high speed burnishing machines, orbital machines, walk behind and ride on auto-scrubbers. The materials hold up well to harsh chemicals including mild acids used to etch floors. The variety of grits available makes it an ideal pad for scrubbing and buffing all types of flooring.
Application
The 40 Series Hurricane Pad is ideal for burnishing, cleaning, refurbishing, buffing, and maintaining concrete and terrazzo as well as restoration and maintenance on natural stone floors of all types. The 5” is used by many countertop fabricators to clean, buff and finish many varieties of countertops.
